In order to get into details planning of this year’s WAT event, I‘d ask you to register.
Um so langsam in die Detailplanung für den diesjährigen WAT gehen zu können, möchte ich Euch bitten Euch anzumelden.
Die Einzelheiten bekommt Ihr dann nach Eurer Anmeldung. Könnt Ihr Euch noch an die liebe Ann M. Eldung erinnern!? Remember our dear Ann M. Eldung? She’s on vacation for a little while. Sgt. R.E. Gister will be responsible this time. Ann hat frei, aber Sgt. R.E. Gister wird sich um Eure Anmeldung kümmern.

Just to remind you: Under the special circumstances, which we have this year, I’d ask you to restrain from wearing military clothes as well from displaying any weapon related stuff. Bitte denkt daran, dass unter den aktuellen Umständen angebracht erscheint auf militärische Kleidung und alles was mit Waffen zu tun hat zu verzichten.
Stattdessen ist das Motto Jeeps und die amerikanische Mode der 40iger Jahre. Wear any kind of American fashion from the 40ies instead. Myself I will be in an Hawaiian shirt and chino pants… Perfect! Für alle, die da noch nicht ausgestattet sind, hätte ich da einen Tipp 😉 für Euch. Don’t hesitate to ask for my assistance!
Wie immer wird der eigentliche WAT am Samstag, den 2. Juli stattfinden. Weisswürstfrühstück zur Begrüßung, die WAT-burger zur Stärkung am Abend. Für diesen Tag würden wir Euch um Euren Unkostenbeitrag bitten. Dazu gibt’s wieder den sensationellen Sound von Black Patti – rootmusic from the deep south wie sie in den 30iger und 40iger Jahren gespielt wurde. Da werdet Ihr zustimmen, dass 50€ pro Nase genau richtig sind. Like in previous years the main event will take place on Saturday July 2nd. To welcome you, we’ll have some Bavarian white sausages. The famous WAT-burgers for dinner and the phenomenal sound of Black Patti in the evening. I bet you agree, that 50€ is just what you think we should ask you as your contribution!
Besides and beond this we’ll be ready to welcome you from 1500 hours on Friday July 1st. Just as it has become a tradition we’ll make some plans for Sunday moring too. Unabhängig und außerhalb davon werden wir der Tradition treu bleiben, dass wer mag kann bereits ab Freitag 1500 hours kommen kann. Und auch am Sonntagvormittag werden wir uns wieder was einfallen lassen. Alle, die schon dabei waren, wissen eh Bescheid. Sonst meldet Euch bei Fragen!
Und hier das Kleingedruckte: Teilnahme ausschließlich nach vorheriger Anmeldung. As always nur die Willys MB, die Ford GPW oder halt der Hotchkiss M201. Dabei bleibt’s – sorry für die vielen netten Anfragen zu anderen Fahrzeugen aus der Zeit. Still we want you exclusively with your Willys MB, Ford GPW as they are the real thing. While Hotchkiss M201s are accepted too, sorry for all the other nice people, who asked whether they could participate with their vehicles from the era.
