Hopefully this message finds you well at this time! Zu allererst hoffe ich es geht Euch allen einigermaßen gut.
Sars-CoV-2 hat auch auf den WAT seinen Einfluss. Can’t deny Sars-Cov-2’s impact on your plans for WAT.
Die Zeiten sind zwar besser geworden. Dennoch bleiben sie unsicher genug, dass wir uns im HQ des WAT zur Absage des WAT 2020 entschieden haben.
Gerade für diejenigen mit etwas mehr Planungsaufwand und längerer Anreise finden wir es wichtig nun eine Entscheidung zu treffen.
Though things seem to stabilize a little bit, the situation doesn’t seem stable enough. Due to these circumstances the HQ at the WAT here on Lake Tegern decided to cancel this year’s WAT.
Sad, but fair enough for those participants, who’d have to take more efforts on planning and travel.
I was so much looking forward to seeing you again, plus a bunch of new enthusiasts, who would have joined in. Schweren Herzens erfolgt die Absage, denn ich hatte mich schon wieder auf Euch gefreut. Zudem hatten sich einige Neue angesagt.
Viele Veranstaltungen werden nun auf den Herbst verschoben. Wir würden das jetzt zunächst mal offen lassen. Though many events are postponed till this fall, we would let this open…
I had an idea. Maybe you find it as attractive as I do: Please take a picture of you and your jeep on that July 4th and send it to me. We will make a gallery and will be together on WAT’s website at least. Die Idee wäre nun, dass Ihr am 4. Juli ein Photo von Euch und Eurem Jeep macht. Lasst es mir dann zukommen. Wir werde es auf der Webseite einstellen. So kommen wir wenigstens dort alle zusammen. Was haltet Ihr von der Idee?
Gerade während ich schreibe denke ich: Da sollte es ja fast gelingen auf einen kleinen Rekord hinzusteuern! Also bitte macht alle mit! Motiviert auch Eure Freunde, die vielleicht bisher noch nicht beim WAT dabei waren und unser Hobby teilen. While writing it crosses my mind: Let’s try to set some kind of a record. We count on you! Maybe you even have friends, who didn’t have a chance to participate in WAT so far, but would contribute to our gallery this year!
Just a little reminder: This is all about the real thing! The Willys MB and the Ford GPW, plus the Hotchkiss M201, as it does look so similar. Und wie immer geht’s um die wahren Jeeps! Den Willys MB und den Ford GPW und der Hotchkiss M201 gehört wegen seiner Ähnlichkeit schon auch dazu!
